Views by rack railway and cable car

One of the most popular attractions in the High Tatras is the rack railway, which runs from Štrba up to Štrbské Pleso, with connections on to Starý Smokovec, Tatranská Lomnica and Poprad. On its way it climbs about 670 metres. The pleasant ride is enriched by views of the Tatra peaks and the varied Tatra landscape.

Another attraction is the funicular, which runs from Starý Smokovec to Hrebienok, climbing 255 metres in 7 minutes. The route can also be walked in about 40 minutes, and in winter you can enjoy a fun sledge ride down the sledging run that winds alongside the funicular in tight bends. The aerial cable cars are another High Tatras attraction. The chairlift from Štrbské Pleso to Solisko offers views of the Patria and Solisko peaks and into the Mlynická and Furkotská valleys.
